About 40 representatives of public, private and non-governmental organizations of Azerbaijan, including a delegation of the Data Processing Center (DPC) of the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies (MCHT) which is the operator of the E-government portal represented our country at the TIBO-2016 International Specialized Forum on Telecommunications, Information and Banking Technologies in Minsk, the capital of Belarus.
More than 100 companies from 18 countries demonstrated their development and achievements in the field of information technologies at the exhibition.
Within the framework of the exhibition, Azerbaijani delegation discussed future cooperation with the experts of many leading companies of Belarus, including the authorities providing services in the areas of e-government and e-signature.
As part of the VIP tour organized at the exhibition, the officials visited the Azerbaijani national pavilion, familiarized themselves with the innovations achieved in our country in the ICT field, as well as new generation ID cards, various card readers, new USB token e-signature carriers demonstrated by the operator of the E- government portal.
Moreover, within the framework of the exhibition the 3rd Belarusian-Azerbaijani ICT Forum was held between the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus with the participation of IT companies of both countries.
Forum participants discussed a number of issues such as improving the quality of information services, automation, innovative technologies in trade, education and health care. DPC experts, in their turn, informed the participants on the ongoing projects of the company such as innovations in the ICT field, billing system, AzDataCom, E-government portal, e-signature, new-generation ID card, mobile number portability service, mobile devices registration system etc.
Note that TIBO-2016 exhibition which has been held for the 23rd time is one of the largest ICT event in the CIS and Baltic states.
