Data Processing Centre of the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies (MCHT) of the Republic of Azerbaijan held a meeting today with a Korean delegation led by Professor of Sangmyung University Hung Kook Park.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the prospects for further cooperation in the field of E-government and mutual exchange of experience.

Speaking about successful experiences of other countries in the related areas, the representatives of the Korean delegation, which included experts from Sangmyung University, highly appreciated the current state of development of the high technologies sector in Azerbaijan.  

Professor Hung Kook Park said that Azerbaijan has taken the 56th place in the UN E-Government Development Index, which indicates the high level of the development of this sector in the country.     

The head of the delegation expressed willingness of the Korean side to cooperate with Azerbaijan in all relevant areas of high technologies. He also emphasized the possibility of involving Korea’s medium and small companies in this cooperation. 

Speaking of the achievements attained in our country in this field, Director of Data Processing Center Elnar Asadov expressed satisfaction with the bilateral cooperation between the two countries. 

The two sides exchanged views on e-government, e-signature infrastructure, development of e-services and other projects during the meeting.
