Christian Rupp: “A lot of work has been done in the field of E-government and organization of e-services.”

Special Representative of the Platform Digital Austria Christian Rupp arrived in Azerbaijan at the initiative of the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies (MCHT) to analyze the current situation in the fields of e-government, e-services, and e-commerce and make proposals for their improvement.
The Platform Digital Austria is the coordinating body of the Government of Austria in the area of e-government and information and communication technologies.
It is worth mentioning that Austria is one of the leading countries of the European Union in the field of organization of e-services.

During his stay in Azerbaijan, Christian Rupp familiarized himself with the current situation in the field of e-government in our country. Meetings were held at the Data Processing Centre of MCHT, which is the operator of the E-government portal and other bodies. The Austrian expert praised the work carried out in Azerbaijan in the field of e-government and e-services. 

During the seminar, held at the Data Processing Centre, Christian Rupp gave a presentation on e-government and e-services in Austria.
Christian Rupp’s visit to Azerbaijan was realized with support from the EU Representation in Azerbaijan.
It should be noted that as a result of the work done recently, the number of e-services on the E-government portal (www.e-gov.az) reached 430.
