The operator of the E-Government portal – Data Processing Centre of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies (MTCHT) and E-Government Education and Training Center organized a workshop on “E-government” for the students of Azerbaijan State University of Economics. Specialists from the E-Government Training and Education Centre and Data Processing Centre delivered presentations at the workshop. 

Acting Director of the E-Government Training and Education Centre Rauf Jabbarov provided the students with general information on the development of the ICT sector, IT career, e-government and e-signature.

Then, specialist of the Data Processing Centre Elvin Jafarov made an extensive presentation on the infrastructure and key components of e-government, electronic services, state registers and open government data. Providing detailed information on the electronic services provided via the E-government portal, the speaker noted that many of these services are intended especially for young people.

The workshop continued with a question-answer session and discussions.

It should be noted that such workshops are organized for the purpose of providing young people with detailed information on e-government, e-services, e-signature, e-document and developing their practical knowledge.
