A workshop on the topic of “E-government” was held for the students of Baku Higher Oil School by the Data Processing Center of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, which is the operator of E-government portal.

The purpose of the workshop, which was realized with the organizational support of the Education and Training Center of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, was to inculcate IT knowledge to future experts and assist them in career choice, provide detailed information on E-government, e-services, electronic signatures, electronic document, etc.

Addressing the event, the acting director of the E-Government Education and Training Center Rauf Jabbarov spoke about dominant position of IT sphere in the  modern world, expectations in connection with the development of this field. He also spoke on the support to the training of professionals in this field and provided detailed information on the activities of the center in this area.

Then it was told about the role of the portal E-government in the simplification and transparency of ICT in social services. Speaking at the event, the engineer of the  Data Processing Center Elvin Jafarli told about the creation, development of the portal and services provided to citizens, as well as gave students detailed information on the mobile version of the portal and information security.

The workshop, which continued with presentations on topics, ended with answers to questions from students and discussions.
