The employees of the Data Processing Center (DPC) of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies won first place in the competition Barama Hackathon 2017.
Ten selected teams competed in the tournament, which was organized by Barama Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center and supported by Azercell Telecom LLC and PASHA Bank. The team, which competed in the tournament under the name The Dev Squad performed the task given in a timely manner and developed a mobile application Baku Shopping Guide within 36 hours.
The mobile application shows the addresses of Baku stores and routes to them. The application will render assistance to users in finding any shop they want to visit. One of the features of the program is the provision of information on discount campaigns. So, all the shops conducting discount campaigns are shown in the application on the map. The option which enables users to choose the discount rates further simplifies the use of the program.
Note that the members of the team The Dev Squad are programmers of innovative projects in our country, such as portal Electronic Government. It was this team that developed the mobile application “Postal addresses”, which provides information on the location of all post offices.
