Interest in “Speaking Library” growing

Recently interest in “Speaking library” has grown significantly.

So far, people have applied 29,313 times (from 2154 numbers) to the “Speaking Library” for visually impaired people, which was created by the Data Processing Centre of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies at the initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation. 

Most of the appeals were made for modern, classical and historical literature.

About 100 talking  books made in a professional manner were put at disposal of listeners by the “Speaking Library”. The books in 8 genres -verbal, modern, foreign, poetry, historical, religious, children and classic literature are available for the listeners.  

In addition, one can apply to the “Speaking Library” through a special telephone service (1541) within 24 hours  in automatic mode. The user can stop listening to the book and after a while continue listening to it from the place where he stopped.
