Head of the Organization, Rashad Jafarov said: “In the modern era of rapid development of information technologies, every young person should be aware of innovations in the information society. In the future, it is inevitable that citizen-official relationships will be built on the Electronic government, and so everyone should be able to use the services provided by Electronic government. One of the main problems that prevents the acceleration of building Electronic government is that young people are not well-informed and do not know how to use these e-services. The project envisages awareness-raising activities among young people and carrying out information work on electronic signature, E-Government Portal, open government data regarding Electronic Government -Trend of Modern Youth to address this challenge. During workshops, information was also provided on the opportunities created for young people on the E-Government Portal, discussions were organized to allow youth to retain this information in their memory. To make workshops more practical, the youth were also trained to get username and password for authentication on the E-Government Portal e-gov.az. The aim of these workshops, organized within the framework of e-government building is to encourage every Azerbaijani youth to use e-services and to become a participant in the ongoing digitization process in the country.”
The attendees of the workshop were informed about the Electronic Government Portal, which is operated by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies. It was noted that this portal is a system, which allows government agencies to provide one-stop-shop services to citizens, entrepreneurs and civil servants by using state-of-the-art information technologies solutions. Currently, 438 e-services are available on the Electronic Government Portal.
