EGDC has launched the third wave of the "Towards Digital Journalism" program

The third wave of the program "Towards Digital Journalism" (Ragamsal Jurnalistikaya Doghru) has been launched with the organization of the E-GOV Development Center of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the sponsorship of “PASHA Holding”. Journalists who want to increase their knowledge in the field of ICT, e-services and digital solutions, bloggers and individuals who want to contribute to the public awareness can attend in the program dedicated to the National Press Day- 22 July.

The main purpose of the program "Towards Digital Journalism" is to further increase the awareness of media representatives and bloggers about digital services, as well as to further expand the knowledge of the population in the field of e-services. The first two waves of the program were implemented in 2020.

The program "Towards Digital Journalism" will consist of two stages:

In the first stage, special training sessions will be held among participants selected according to the relevant criteria. The detailed information about the latest trends in the ICT sector, e-government projects, e-services will be provided in the trainings. Unlike the first and second waves, trainings to be held within the framework of the third wave will be organized in the format of a seminar, not a webinar.

In the second stage of the program, a writing competition will be held among the participants who have successfully completed the trainings. In this part, participants will compete to explore real issues on selected topics and to deliver digital services to citizens in that direction (in video or article format). A prize fund of AZN 2,200 has been set for the competition. The winner of the first place will receive AZN 1,000, the winner of the second place will receive AZN 700, and the winner of the third-place will receive AZN 500.

Participants who successfully complete the program will be awarded a special certificate by the E-GOV Development Center. Registration for the program began on June 29. The deadline for applications is July 6.
